One week … WebJun 14, 2014 · The problem is, when they bolt down the roof rack, the feet/support that rest on the mastic sealant have ridges on them and dig into the mastic and if it is not thick enough, can crack it. Water finds it's way into the cracks, through the seam between the roof and door frame and drips right on the headliner.

I started at the rear (by the hatch) and just moved down the strip. A close up of the clip. And what the car looks like once the trim is removed. Bonus trivia- made in Canada!
WebI’m pretty sure I found the leak to be under the trunk hatch where the rubber flashing meets the hoses that hold the cables for the wiper fluid and other controls.
